Welcome To Our New Sensory Space!!

March 15, 2024

There was great excitement in school this week as the children got to visit our new sensory space!

We are proud and delighted to announce the opening of our new Sensory Room!  Trojan work from the Parents Association turned a haven for books (our book storage closet!) into a Haven of Peace & Tranquillity and a feast for the senses!  The time, dedication, skills and teamwork of Annie & Nigel Maher, Nina & James McCarthy, Sabel & Richard Deacon and Maria O’Riordan & Patrick Barry created this outstanding resource for the school community.  It has been admired, used and appreciated in the past week and all who have experienced the sensory experiences in there have benefited greatly from this invaluable addition to our school.  A heartfelt thanks goes to these parents and they can be assured this room will bring smiles to all who use it.

Our new sensory space will promote wellbeing among all our pupils & will help to provide a safe environment where students can be supported to calm & regulate, therefore optimising learning & participation in the school environment.
