In First and Second class we take a playful and holistic approach to our learning. We use station teaching in English and Maths to facilitate small group learning with the teacher, small group activities, peer and independent learning. We have a wide variety of graded readers to allow for differentiation throughout the class. We use the Bua na Cainte Irish language programme which is fully interactive and provides the child with plenty of opportunity to practice their oral language, listening skills, reading and writing. In our classroom we have a fully interactive whiteboard and also have access to ipads which are used to support and expand learning.
