Congratulations to our Graduate Class of 2026!
We are extremely proud of our Sixth Class students who graduated today!
The whole school turned out to give them a guard of honour into their Graduation Ceremony this morning followed by a circle surrounding them in the hall where everyone sang Circle of Friends to remind them they will always have friends from Scoil Naomh Eoin! The Parents Association provided lovely wall and photo banners for the graduation.
Mr. Barry gave an inspiring speech to the students with great advice for them going forward to their new schools. Ms. O’Connor put together a wonderful rolling presentation with a mix of music and photos from when the students first came to the school to a flavour of all the wonderful activities they took part in and a selection of recent photos of the class.
The sixth class students spoke about the many enjoyable memories they have from their time in Scoil Naomh Eoin – from the friendships they formed, the activities they enjoyed together like school tours, Christmas plays, making hot chocolate and pancakes in class together, African drumming, working with the Blast artists, mobile music lessons, making the pond for the WildWorks project, using the mobile library and chess outings. They recalled their sporting achievements like qualifying for the Sciath na Scol final, doing hurling and football with Mike Mul, swimming classes, gymnastics, cycling, handball, table tennis and much more.
We were delighted to hear how they have enjoyed their time in the school and we wish them all the very best as they move onto the next stage of their school lives!!
