The Glucksman Gallery comes to Scoil Naomh Eoin!
The Glucksman (UCC) commissioned seven Irish picture book authors to respond to different themes within the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The result was an amazing exhibition which took place in the Gallery in Sept/Oct ’21.
We in Scoil Naomh Eoin are lucky to have a print of one of the paintings hanging in Ms Kerins’ room!! It is entitled “Equality”. It arrived on Friday 4th March and we will have it for at least a month.
Fatti Burke painted the original. Fatti is an Irish illustrator based in Dublin. Her first three children’s non-fiction titles – Irelandopedia,
Historopedia and Focloiropedia became bestsellers in Ireland.Each class will have access to the print over the coming weeks and they will discuss what “Equality” means for children.
This exciting opportunity is part of the Creative School’s initiative.
