Celebrating the Success of Jody and Paul Townend
A shout out to the success of other past pupils earlier this season – At the Punchestown Festival in early May, Jody Townend secured her title of Irish Champion Lady Amateur rider for her sixth consecutive season!! A fantastic achievement – Congratulations Jody!
Paul Townend has had a wonderful 2026!! He successfully won the top 3 feature races this year – the Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase and the Gold Cup! His win on Gaelic Warrior in the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup marked his fifth Gold Cup win – no other rider has done this! Congratulations Paul on this record breaking achievement!
