Green Schools Biodiversity Workshop

November 11, 2022

3rd and 4th class had a visit from Tricia from Green Schools who taught them all about biodiversity. First, they played games in the classroom and learned about the Irish stoat as well as various other facts on Irish species. Then, they went to the halla. The children connected various species using string to show how all living things are connected. They also played a game which taught them about the impact of deforestation. Lastly, they planted acorns so that they can grow their own trees!
