On Tuesday, Scoil Naomh Eoin pulled off a magnificent achievement by winning the FAI 5 a side soccer tournament in Carrigtwohill!!!
Our first game was a hard fought 1-0 victory over Ringaskiddy NS which was followed up with a 1-1 draw against Whitegate. We came from a goal down at half-time to beat St. Patrick’s NS, Glanworth 3-1 in our final group game to qualify for the semi-final. The semi-final against Castletownroche was the most exciting game of all, a 3-2 victory after extra-time. We met Glanworth again in the final and dug deep to win 1-0!!!!
We now proceed to the next round in Musgrave Park. Well done to all 12 boys who represented our school on the day.
